About Us

We enable kids to build the strength of character that empowers them through a lifetime of new challenges. By seamlessly integrating the game of golf with life skills curriculum, we create learning experiences that build inner strength, self-confidence, and resilience that kids carry to everything they do.

First Tee is an international youth development organization whose mission is to impact the lives of young people and their families by providing educational programs for youth that build character, instill life-enhancing values and promote healthy choices through the game of golf.

VISION:

First Tee – Northeast Wisconsin envisions expansion of it’s youth development emphasis throughout Northeast Wisconsin territory by focusing on bringing quality programs to golf courses in our region.

Since its inception in 1997, First Tee has:

  • Reached over 10 million participants.
  • Actively engaged 20,000 volunteers.
  • Introduced 10,000 elementary schools to the First Tee School Program, which delivers a structured golf curriculum that promotes character development in a physical education setting.

WHO WE REACH:

With one in five students dropping out of public high schools, the need for quality youth programs is critical. First Tee golf program can be part of the solution to challenges facing today’s youth.

First Tee reaches young people ages 5-18 through golf instruction and life skills lessons administered at chapters, military installations, and to students in elementary schools.

WHAT WE DO:

First Tee programs provide life skills education and expose young people to core values.

Our character education helps young people prepare for success in high school, college and life.

HOW WE HELP:

First Tee provides quality youth golf programs that include adult mentors and safe places for young people.
