Kelsey Verbeten Frey
Program Director  

Kelsey Frey is the Program Director and brings an impressive resume to First Tee – Northeast Wisconsin. Kelsey grew up in Green Bay and was highly competitive at Preble High School finishing twice as runner-up at the WIAA High School state tournament in 2002 and 2005 as well as earning first-team all-state honors two times. In addition, she was a four-time first-team all-conference and academic all-state selection, was a 2005 U.S. Junior Qualifier and won the WWSGA State Junior Match Play championship in 2004 and 2005. Upon graduation, she joined the University of Wisconsin Badger golf team where she started as a varsity player all four years. Her career scoring average of 78.17 is sixth-best in school history. After a successful amateur career, Kelsey played the LPGA Futures Tour in 2011. Kelsey married Mike Frey in 2012 and is excited about being a coach for First Tee and making a difference in Northeast Wisconsin.

Peter Andrews, Schreiber Foods
President

Peter Andrews joined the Board of Directors in July 2018. A Supply Chain Transportation Manager at Schreiber, Peter has served in several roles ranging from cost and contract negotiation to system integration and partner development. Peter is currently responsible for leading both the Domestic and Export Transportation Team in the areas of Sourcing, Operations, Pricing and Systems. He’s won several President’s Awards for his contributions to Cost/Operational Improvement and Spirit.

A lifelong resident of Northeast Wisconsin, Peter graduated from Green Bay Southwest, and holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from St. Norbert College with a major in Communication and emphasis in Geography. He and his wife Kristy live in Green Bay with their boys Graham and Reid, both of whom will be participating in First Tee Programing beginning in the summer of 2019.

Marie Herm, Belmark

Marie Herm is the head of Human Resources at Belmark and brings over 10 years of experience in all things people-related.  Driving strategy around people in her organization, Marie has helped her organization grow from roughly 450 employees to over 1100 in less than 10 years, all while maintaining a family-oriented culture.  Building strength, self-confidence and resilience in children of NE Wisconsin resonates her, as development of people is not only a professional but personal goal.  As Belmark increasingly invests in the community, she took the opportunity to join the board for First Tee, believing strongly in the impact the organization has with children in the area.   Marie enjoys traveling, reading, and since the onset of the pandemic, the game of golf.

Michael Demerath, Hager, Dewick, & Zuengler  
Past President

Mike Demerath a partner at the law firm of Hager, Dewick & Zuengler, S.C. in Green Bay.  He assists business owners with the formation of business entities, operating and buy/sell agreements, non-compete and confidentiality agreements, trademarks, franchises, mergers and acquisitions and commercial real estate sales and leasing.  Mike received his Bachelor’s of Business Administration from St. Norbert College in 2003 and his law degree from DePaul University College of Law, with a Certificate in Taxation, in 2007. He is admitted to practice in Wisconsin, Illinois and Michigan.

In addition to serving as President of the Board of First Tee – Northeast Wisconsin, Mike is also currently a member of the Board of Trustees of St. Norbert College. He is also Past-President of the St. Norbert College Alumni Board, a graduate of the Greater Green Bay Chamber Leadership Green Bay program, a 2015 Future 15 Young Professional Award recipient, a past member of the Phoenix Recruit Young Professionals Group, and a past President of the Howard-Suamico Optimist Club.

Mike, as a native of Seymour, grew up working and golfing at Crystal Springs Golf Course and participated in junior golf and First Tee programming as a youth.  The positive effects which those experiences have had on Mike’s life and career caused him to get back involved with First Tee upon his return to the area.

Kendra Anderson, Stephenson National Bank and Trust

Kendra Anderson is the Vice President of Commercial Lending at Stephenson National Bank.

She attended Loyola University Chicago where she played Division 1 Golf and graduated with a Bachelors of Business Administration with an area of concentration in Human Resources.  Kendra’s been in banking for over 10 years and is an active volunteer in the community.  In her free time, Kendra enjoys golfing with her husband, Mark; along with watching her children’s sporting events.  Kendra said “I love being on the Executive Committee for First Tee – Northeast Wisconsin where I can share my passion for golf with our youth.  Golf is a life-long game that promotes integrity, honesty and dedication and I truly enjoy being a part of an organization that is shaping our community’s kiddos through this amazing sport!”

Tom Droegkamp, Assistant Director of Deli at Festival Foods.  Passionate about life, sports, family and leading others to personal and professional growth.  Strengths include straight drives and  loving family.  Weaknesses are three foot putts and the occasional Sour Patch Kids purchases.  Joined First Tee to help the growth of youth by creating an environment that is welcoming, friendly and guides them toward a path of success and everlasting friendships.
